Schedule: Friday, practice (NBC Sports Channel, 12:30-2 p.m.), qualifying (NBC Sports Channel, 6:30-8 p.m.); Saturday, practice (CNBC, 11 a.m.-noon; NBC Sports Channel, 2-3 p.m.); Sunday, race, 2 p.m. (NBC, 1:30-6 p.m.).

Track: Texas Motor Speedway (oval, 1.5 miles).

Race distance: 501 miles, 334 laps.

Last year: Jimmie Johnson won the fall race at the track for the third year in a row, winning a two-lap overtime sprint after Jeff Gordon spun following contact with Brad Keselowski. Gordon confronted Keselowski, triggering a melee on pit road. Johnson also won this year in the April race at the track.

Last week: Gordon won at Martinsville to earn a berth in the four-man Chase finale, getting a break when Matt Kenseth intentionally wrecked race leader Joey Logano with 47 laps remaining. Retiring at the end of the season, the four-time NASCAR champion won for the ninth time at Martinsville and 93rd overall.

Fast facts: NASCAR suspended Kenseth for two races and placed him on probation for six months. Kenseth was nine laps down when he drove Logano into the wall. The crash was payback for Logano wrecking Kenseth in Kansas in an incident that ultimately led to Kenseth's elimination from the Chase. Kenseth has appealed ... The race is the second in the third three-race round in the 10-event Chase. Eight drivers are competing for the final three spots in the Nov. 22 finale at Homestead through race victories and the standings. The title will be decided by finishing order at Homestead. Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr. top the points race, followed by defending series champion Kevin Harvick (-2), Carl Edwards (-9), Keselowski (-26), Kurt Busch (-28) and Logano (-30). Logano swept the three second-round races and has a series-high six victories.

O'REILLY AUTO PARTS CHALLENGE

Schedule: Friday, practice (NBC Sports Channel, 2-4:30 p.m.); Saturday, qualifying (NBC Sports Channel, 12:30-2 p.m.), race, 3:30 p.m. (NBC, 3-6 p.m.).

Track: Texas Motor Speedway (oval, 1.5 miles).

Race distance: 300 miles, 200 laps.

Last year: Kyle Busch raced the last of seven 2014 series victories.

Last race: Busch won at Kansas Speedway on Oct. 17 for his fifth victory of the year and record-extending 75th in the series.

Fast facts: Chris Buescher leads the season standings, 27 points ahead of defending champion Chase Elliott and 33 ahead of Regan Smith with three races left. ... Busch is making his 13th series start of the year in Joe Gibbs Racing's No. 54 Toyota. Erik Jones, the April winner at the track, will be in Gibbs' No. 20 car. Kevin Harvick and Brad Keselowski are racing.

Last year: Kyle Busch raced the last of seven 2014 series victories.

Last week: Two-time defending series champion Matt Crafton won at Martinsville for his fifth victory of the year.

Fast facts: Erik Jones lead the standings, 10 points ahead of Crafton and 13 in front of Tyler Reddick with three races left. Jones won the Xfinity Series race at Texas in April, and Crafton took the Truck race at the track in June.
