Where was GOP after Sept. 11?

I find it fascinating that the Republicans are conducting a witch hunt on Hillary for failing to protect the four Americans killed in Benghazi alleging that she deliberately ordered security to stand down prior to the attacks.

Where were these Republicans after 9/11 when 3,000 Americans died on our own soil? Did they go after Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld for failing to protect Americans? Even though Rumsfeld ordered NORAD to stand down shortly before the attacks and there was documented proof that the Bush administration was warned that bin Laden was preparing an attack as early as January of 2001 nobody held them accountable. Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld were either incompetent or complicit - there is no in between.
