Danica fills sponsorship void with funding from TaxAct
MARTINSVILLE, Va. (AP) - Danica Patrick sponsorship for 2016 will be completed by TaxAct.
TaxAct is increasing its funding of Patrick's car from two races to four races in a multi-year deal announced Friday.
Nature's Bakery had previously signed on as the primary sponsor for 28 races. Nature's Bakery is replacing GoDaddy, which said this spring it would not return as sponsor of Patrick's No. 10 car. Aspen Dental also previously announced it will sponsor four races.
Patrick said Friday at Martinsville Speedway she was "stressed out" when GoDaddy said it was leaving, but was fortunate Stewart-Haas Racing lined up a full season of sponsorship.
Patrick is in her third full season in the Sprint Cup Series and is 23rd in the standings.
