Cars roll off trailer on I-294

All lanes of northbound I-294 are open again after cars rolled off a trailer near Roosevelt Road, state police say.

A pickup truck traveling north was pulling a trailer with two cars on it at 3:21 p.m. when the trailer separated from the vehicle, causing the cars to roll off, according to an Illinois State Police news release.

One lane of northbound traffic was closed until about 4 p.m. while police cleared the scene.

There were no injuries reported, and the crash is still under investigation, according to the release.
