Mt. Prospect honors David Strahl for 30 years of service

Mount Prospect village board members honored Assistant Village Manager David Strahl last week, noting that he had recently been recognized by the International City/County Management Association for his 30 years in city management.

Mayor Arlene Juracek thanked Strahl in particular for stepping in as acting village manager after longtime village Manager Michael Janonis and the village parted ways.

"We know that you have pulled double duty over the last few months, almost a year, and we appreciate that," she said.

Strahl expressed his gratitude, saying, "I have had the privilege of working in Mount Prospect for 22 of the 30 years that I have served in the city management profession. I think Mount Prospect is blessed with dedicated elected officials and staff, who without such a strong bond, the community would not be where it is today."
