Streamwood man charged with sex trafficking of teenage girl
A Streamwood man charged with the sex trafficking of a teenage girl has been arrested, the Cook County Sheriff's office said Saturday.
Derrick Hill, 41, was taken into custody Friday at his home by Streamwood police on a $1.5 million arrest warrant, according to a news release. Hill is charged with involuntary sexual servitude of a minor.
The warrant was issued Oct. 7, after an investigation by the sheriff's police vice unit that began in January.
Hill arranged meetings on Backpage.com for the 15-year-old girl, who would perform sex acts for money, and Hill would profit, the sheriff's office said.
Hill also rented the hotels rooms where the acts would occur, the sheriff's office said.
In addition, the news release stated, Hill was arrested on an outstanding traffic violation warrant.
