Bears elevate CB from practice squad
LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) - The Chicago Bears have elevated cornerback Bryce Callahan from the practice squad to the active roster and waived safety Demontre Hurst.
Callahan played in the first two games this season for the Bears after entering the league with them as an undrafted rookie out of Rice. He spent the past four weeks on Chicago's practice squad.
Hurst appeared in 18 games the past two years with Chicago. He had 36 defensive tackles, one interception and nine special-teams stops.
The Bears announced the moves Monday.
