No one injured in fire at Cardinal Fitness in Wheaton
A lighted building sign near the Cardinal Fitness in Wheaton sparked a fire that damaged the business's roof early Wednesday morning, officials said.
According to a news release by the Wheaton Fire Department, the roof caught fire at around 1 a.m. Wednesday. The fire was confined to the roof of the business, 266 E. Geneva Road, and firefighters had it under control in about 20 minutes.
The building was unoccupied when the fire started, and no injuries were reported.
Investigators say the fire appears to have been accidental.
