Libertyville tops Lake Zurich, wraps up NSC Lake title

Allison Watson slammed 10 kills, Anna Lillydahl dished out a season-high 29 assists, and Libertyville's girls volleyball team clinched the last North Suburban Conference Lake Division championship with a 25-14, 25-22 win over visiting Lake Zurich Wednesday night.

The NSC will not have divisions in the 2016-17 school year.

Libertyville (23-5) finishes 6-0 in the NSC Lake. The win was the Wildcats' 19th straight in conference.

On Senior Night, Libertyville led throughout Set 1 in winning the wire-to-wire battle. In Set 2, the Wildcats overcame a 12-8 deficit.

Lillydahl and Erin Dunleavy each had 5 kills for Libertyville. Lillydahl contributed 3 blocks, as well, Jacqui Widmark chipped in 2 aces and 7 digs, and Morgan O'Brien had 14 digs.

Wauconda d. Grant: Sara Sexton's 17 kills and 2 blocks helped lead Wauconda to the 25-27, 25-16, 25-20 win, moving the Bulldogs within a victory of completing a perfect run through the North Suburban Prairie.

Wauconda (21-4, 5-0) also got 20 assists and 9 kills from LeAnne Sakowicz. Catie Petralia had 10 assists and 4 aces, and Jane Sakowicz served 3 aces. Ashley Anderson contributed 20 digs for Wauconda, which wraps up NSC Prairie action Friday night at Vernon Hills.

Stevenson d. Zion-Benton: Isabella Milejczyk had 7 kills, as the Patriots wrapped up North Suburban Lake action with a 25-12, 25-8 win.

Stevenson (26-8, 4-2) also received 5 kills from Emma Bufe and three apiece from Jessi Cliffer and Revell Cozzi. Corissa Kurth had 9 assists and 3 aces. Cozzi also served 3 aces, while Katie Collins lofted 10 assists. Zoe Graflund had 2 solo blocks, and Morgan Berland totaled 9 digs.

The Patriots played without Jori Radtke.

Lake Forest d. Mundelein: The Scouts won 25-19, 25-17 in North Suburban Lake action.

Amanda Bogseth and Monika Bowser had 3 and 2 blocks, respectively, for Mundelein.

In Mundelein's breast cancer awareness match, the Mustangs raised $3,450 for the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation.
