W.A.C.O. and Weber Grill coat drive sizzles
The Woodfield Area Children's Organization's New Coats for Kids Program is underway and once again Weber Grill is offering free gift cards as an incentive to get involved. The program benefits underprivileged children living in the northwest suburbs.
Anyone who brings a new coat with tags and receipt to Weber Grill, 1010 N. Meacham Rd., Schaumburg, will receive a Weber Grill gift card for the amount you spent, minus the tax. Bring in two coats and your gift card will reflect the extra purchase. The offer is good from Sunday, October 11 through Saturday, October 17. W.A.C.O. is looking for boys and girls coats sizes: 12 months to 6.
Every year W.A.C.O. buys hundreds of coats for children living in poverty. This year's goal is to provide 500 new coats.
W.A.C.O. hopes to expand the program to include hats and mittens. As such the group will also be hosting After Hours at Chicago Prime, 1444 E. Algonquin Rd., Schaumburg, from 5-9 pm on Wednesday, October 28. This is open to the public. Everyone is asked to bring a donation of children's hats and mittens. Chicago Prime will provide appetizers and donate a portion of all food and beverage sales to W.A.C.O.
Donations to help fund these projects can be made online at www.waco4kids.org, or mail to: W.A.C.O. 725 E. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg, IL 60194.
