Schaumburg Hosting Paper Shred & Paint Recycling Event Oct. 24

The Village of Schaumburg is hosting a paper shred and paint recycling event on Saturday, Oct. 24.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in the west parking lot of Boomers Stadium, 1999 S. Springinsguth Rd., Schaumburg.

Schaumburg residents (participants will be asked to show ID) may bring up to two banker boxes of documents per household that can

include staples, paper clips and folders to be shredded. DocuShred will have a shredder on site and residents can witness their

documents entering the shredder.

Latex paint will also be recycled at a cost of $2 per gallon and $9 per 5 gallon pail. This is open to anyone from the public. Cash or credit card will be accepted. Latex paint only; no oil-based paints. Oil-based paints can be taken to the Naperville Household Waste Facility, 156 Fort Hill Drive, Naperville from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays and
