Crystal Lake Fire to host open house Oct. 10
The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department will be hosting their annual open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at the municipal complex, 100 W. Woodstock St.
The public is invited. There will be interactive and educational activities for the whole family.
Activities include: displays of fire engines, ambulances, and other emergency equipment. There will be tours of the fire station, the Safety House to practice exiting a house fire, and hose drills for children.
The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department will display their firefighting gear, conduct an extrication demonstration and a door breach demonstration. Flight for Life, fire extinguisher demonstrations, and a live burn are scheduled. Nicor will provide safety information and the Crystal Lake Police Department will be represented.
Parking will be available at Crystal Lake Municipal Complex, 100 W. Woodstock St. and the parking lot across from 110 W. Woodstock St.
