Leyden's third at IMSA's tournament

Leyden's girls volleyball team improved its overall record to 16-10 on Saturday with a third- place finish in the Illinois Math & Science Academy Invite.

Aurora Christian handed the Eagles their only loss (25-20, 22-25, 13-15) in the 12-team tourney.

Leyden went 4-1 with two-sets wins over Serena (25-14, 25-9), IMSA (25-12, 25-23),

Newark (22-25, 23-25) and Christian Liberty (25-18, 25-17).

Eagles junior setter Autumn Mcgee registered 22 aces, 25 kills and 50 assists

in the five matches while junior outside hitter Patrycja Strzeminska collected 15 kills and 4 aces.
