Avian USA Machinery opens facility in West Chicago

WEST CHICAGO - Avian USA Machinery LLC, part of Avian Granulator Group, recently opened a global hub facility in West Chicago

Avian, a manufacturer of size reduction machinery for the plastic, rubber and recycling industry, will house shredding and granulating machines in its 35,000-square-foot space and will handle sales and service for customers in North America.

Avian Granulator Group is headquartered in Sydney, Australia, however moved its production to Shanghai, China in 1997. It has manufacturing, service and distribution centers in Germany, Croatia, India, Russia, the Middle East, Australia and China.

According to Andy Gu, Vice President of Operations at the new facility, as costs of manufacturing equipment continue to rise in China, Avian Granulator Group looked to North America for expansion.
