OPEN HOUSE AT NAPERVILLE'S DOWNTOWN LANDMARK

Members, guests and renters now enjoy handicapped accessibility to the Gothic Revival structure built in 1899. Three years of planning with help of Naperville Heritage Society, Opperman Architects and Sequoia General Contracting Corp. led to a successful remodel that compliments an architecturally significant building. These efforts adapted Naperville's locally-designated Landmark for community use, while retaining this symbol of the City's working class roots, religious origins and culture. Event planners and event service providers are invited to bring fliers and promotions to the Open House for a resource table. Please reserve space by calling 630-244-8162.

This beautiful, historic building is available for meetings, performances, weddings or private parties. Amenities include a catering kitchen, stage, piano and free parking. Its location at the north entrance to downtown Naperville provides quick access to the interstate, hotels, restaurants and downtown shopping and services. The tradition of opening NWC's doors to the public began in 1925. Community and cultural events over the last 90 years include a long list of art classes, music performances, literary events, living history and community theater.

The Naperville Woman's Club is a philanthropic organization devoted to supporting the arts, education and community service. Established in 1897, it is one of the longest established organizations in Naperville. The club's headquarters are in the Landmark Building at 14 S. Washington Street in downtown Naperville. The NWC each year sponsors the Juried Fine Art Fair, a fall fashion show, the Young Adult Art Contest, and several other fund-raising events. New members and guests are welcome to attend NWC meetings. In addition, the clubhouse is available to rent for private events.
