Class on mental illness coming to Elk Grove area

NAMI Schaumburg Area is offering a free 12-week Family-to-Family education class for family members who have a relative living with mental illness. The class begins Tuesday, Sept. 15, and will meet in the evening in the Elk Grove/Schaumburg area. The "evidence-based program" will help family members gain a better understanding of mental illness, learn skills to cope better and become advocates for their ill relatives.
