Vernon Hills' Oktoberfest

Vernon Hills will host the village's annual Oktoberfest from 3 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Metra station, 75 Route 45. Activities include free kids crafts and pumpkins to paint, while supplies last. Other activities include a hay ride, balloonist, face painting, petting zoo, inflatables and hay rides and a raffle with proceeds going to nonprofit organizations, which will be preparing and selling food.
