The Basil Lime Gimlet

4 basil leaves

2½ ounces vodka

¾ ounce fresh lime juice

½ ounce simple syrup

Muddle 3 basil leaves with simple syrup in cocktail shaker.

Fill shaker ¾ full of ice, add vodka and lime juice and strain into chilled cocktail glass.

Garnish with remaining basil leaf.
