Against the backdrop of some of the most pleasant weather of the summer, most students in Schaumburg Township Elementary District 54 returned to school Monday.
Students in grades one through seven headed back to the district's 28 schools. Most eighth graders will return Tuesday, and the district's youngest students - those in kindergarten and early childhood education programs - will start next Monday, Aug. 31.
