Regeneration in nature topic of exhibition at Ryerson Woods

A new group exhibition "Regeneration: The Nature of Transformation" will open with a reception from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, at the Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods, 21850 N. Riverwoods Road, Riverwoods. The show features 13 individuals who address aspects of regeneration in their respective practices - from designers who transform salvaged materials into furniture pieces to artists who create works inspired by the phenomena of reclamation and renewal in nature. The exhibition runs through Nov. 1. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday or by appointment at (847) 968-3308. Visit brushwoodcenter.org. Brushwood Center is the former summer home of the Ryerson family, built in 1942 with salvaged materials.
