Schaumburg man with multiple DUIs gets prison time
A Schaumburg man charged in March for his fifth DUI, two days after he was arrested on charges of his fourth, received a three-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to aggravated drunken driving and driving on a revoked or suspended license.
Donald Vucic, 30, was sentenced Monday and ordered to pay $6,979 in fines, court records show. Vucic, who has DUI convictions from 2003, 2005 and 2011, received credit for 144 days in custody.
Schaumburg police arrested Vucic on March 13 after he cut off another driver on Roselle Road, prosecutors said. He subsequently failed field sobriety tests. His blood alcohol content registered .16, twice the legal limit, prosecutors said.
Charges against Vucic for the March 11 arrest are pending in Skokie, court records show.
