Little Bear Ribfest
Little Bear Ribfest is set for 6 p.m. to midnight, Friday, Aug. 21, and 3 p.m. to midnight, Saturday, Aug. 22, in Century Park, 1001 Lakeview Parkway, just south of Route 60 in Vernon Hills. Admission is $5. Six vendors will sell ribs at a nominal cost, including Big Ed's Barbecue, Real Urban Barbecue, The Full Slab, Uncle Bub's BBQ, Sweet Baby Ray's Barbecue and Smokin' T's Barbecue. This year's entertainment showcases national blues artists, including Brother John Kattke, Billy Branch and The Sons of Blues, Joanna Connor, The Red White & Blues Band and Lil Ed and The Blues Imperials.
