Bang 'n Blues Returns to Lindy's Landing

Lindy's Landing, a popular beach marina bar on Bang's Lake, is hosting the second Annual Bang 'n Blues festival Friday through Sunday, July 17-19.

The family-friendly festival commemorates two milestones for the beachside bar: 50 years since first opening in 1965 and 35 years since serving as the location for several memorable scenes in the 1980 film "The Blues Brothers."

Live music, southern barbecue and a backdrop of Bang's Lake are just a few reasons to head to Lindy's for its weekend celebration.

The blues-based musical lineup consists of Liz Mandeville, Kevin Purcell and the Nightburners, The Bluz Brothers Band and Delta Pines. Food options consist of a Sunday Gospel Brunch and southern barbecue.

For admission, $5 gives guests full access to Bang 'n Blues all weekend long. Proceeds from the event go to the Bangs Lake Advisory Committee, which oversees the lake's conservation efforts.

Additional details about Bang 'n Blues weekend can be found on the Lindy's Landing website, lindyslanding.net, or by emailing Amanda@lindyslanding.net. Reservations for the Sunday Gospel Brunch can be made by calling (847) 526-9789.
