Amateur grillers show their stuff at Lake in the Hills Rockin' Ribfest

Lake in the Hills' 10th Rockin' Ribfest had a little something for everyone during its four-day run, but the ribs took center stage Sunday at Sunset Park with the community rib cook-off.

The cook-off gave amateur grillers a chance to compete alongside - but not with - the pros who travel from across the Midwest to take part in the festival.

Proceeds from Ribfest help support the Lake in the Hills Rotary Club's service projects locally, regionally and worldwide.

The group also organizes four local food pantries yearly funded through Ribfest proceeds.
