Geneva Foxes pitcher throws a no-hitter

Sunday was a day that will be set aside for the scrapbook as Emma T. threw a no-hitter while facing 15 batters in Geneva Foxes 12-U's 9-0 victory over Naperville Diamonds GG at Cerney Park in Warrenville.

No Naperville Diamonds GG batter was able to locate Emma's pitches during the game. Emma threw a no-hitter, striking out nine batters and walking none while recording her momentous feat. She got #5 to ground out for the final out of the game.

Five runs in the first three innings helped Geneva Foxes 12-U blow out Naperville Diamonds GG. An RBI single by Lauren N. during the first inning and in the second inning fueled Geneva Foxes 12-U's offense early.

Geneva Foxes 12-U was led by a flawless day at the dish by Mary C, who went 2-2 against Naperville Diamonds GG's pitching. She singled in the second and fifth innings.

Geneva Foxes 12-U added three more runs in the top of the fourth. A clutch ground out scored Madelyn C. to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Emma's single, plating Delaney P.

Geneva Foxes 12-U added one more run in the top of the fifth when Mary stole home.
