Dunham Fund awards challenge grant to CASA

CASA Kane County was recently awarded a challenge grant by the Dunham Fund in Aurora.

The dollar-for-dollar match, up to $100,000, will cover costs for a construction project to provide corridor access to four unused updated offices and bring the area up to current building codes in the historic Kane County courthouse while the county is expanding the elevator for better handicap accessibility throughout the building.

Additional staff is needed as the organization is now serving close to 600 children annually and aims to continue to provide representation for 100 percent of children served.

CASA Kane County is extremely thankful to the Dunham Fund for their support, along with the other generous community supporters, and contractors who are donating a portion of their time and materials to make this project a reality by the end of July.

If you are interested in learning more or supporting the project, call Vicki Shaw, director of advancement, at (630) 444-3100 or vickis@casakanecounty.org for more information or to make a donation.
