Free Electronics Recycling Event This Saturday at Palatine Township
This coming Saturday, Palatine Township residents can take advantage of a free electronics recycling event (for most items) at 721 S. Quentin Road in the Township parking lot.
Acceptable items will include: Computers and Laptops - Power Cords, Cables and Christmas Tree Lights - Monitors, Scanners/Copiers - Pagers, PDA's and Two-Way Radios - Printers and Fax Machines - Small Kitchen Appliances - Keyboards and Mice - Blow Dryers and Curling Irons - CD, DVD/VCR Players and Modems - Satellite Dishes - IPods and MP3 Players - Cameras and DVD's - Car, Motorcycle, Marine, Cordless Tool and Cell Phone Batteries - Residential Batteries including AA / AAA / C / D.
There will be a limit of 2 TV's (less than 27 inches) CRT Monitors
Microwaves are being accepted for a fee of $25
Special Lions Club items that will be accepted include:
Eyeglasses- Hearing Aids - Inkjet Cartridges - Cell Phones - Keys
Items that will NOT be accepted include: TV's 27 inches or larger - Light Bulbs - White Goods (towels and linens) - Hazardous Items
Electronics are not allowed in landfills. This event is co-sponsored by Palatine Township and Palatine Lions Club, and provides a safe and environmentally-friendly way to dispose of these items.
