Bensenville Welcomes Mariscos El Amigo an Authentic Mexican & Seafood Restaurant

On Friday May 29, the Village of Bensenville held a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate Mariscos El Amigo first day of business. Mariscos El Amigo is a family owned business specializing in authentic Mexican and seafood cuisine and drinks, and this marks their third location.

Located at 1120 S York Road in Bensenville near the intersection of York Road and Grand Avenue, owner Javier Chagoya purchased the vacant restaurant formally known as "The Spot" and undertook an extensive renovation to both the inside and outside of the building.

After all of the renovations Mariscos El Amigo is a full service restaurant along with a separate bar area creating an atmosphere that welcomes guest to sit down to enjoy a meal and have a drink.

"We are very excited for the opening of Mariscos El Amigo." said Village President Frank Soto "Brining in new restaurants is part of our strategic plan and we will continue to work to find more great places like this."

"I look forward to bringing great authentic Mexican and seafood to the residents of Bensenville for many years to come." said Mr. Chagoya. "I would like to thank the Village for how helpful they have been through the entire process of opening up."
