Boomers rained out; doubleheader Sunday

The Schaumburg Boomers' Saturday game against the River City Rascals at Boomers Stadium was postponed due to inclement weather.

As a result, the Boomers and Rascals will play a doubleheader Sunday at Boomers Stadium. Both games will be seven innings in length with the first game scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. The Boomers are projected to start Brett Mabry (0-0, 5.40 ERA) for Game 1 and Scott Plaza (0-1, 5.8 ERA) for Game 2, while River City's projected starters are Tommy Organ (0-0, 0.00 ERA) and Dane Stone (0-1, 4.15 ERA).

Tickets for Saturday's game can be exchanged at the Boomers Stadium box office for any future regular season home game, based on availability. The Princess Night promotion will be rescheduled to a later date this season.
