Gurnee police find woman missing since Friday 'safe and sound'
Gurnee police say a search has ended successfully for a woman who had been missing since last Friday.
Cmdr. Willie Meyer said Wednesday that 53-year-old Jacqueline Bizzell was “found safe and sound” at a Waukegan hotel. He said police received a tip from someone who saw her picture and a story about her in a local newspaper.
Gurnee police announced Tuesday that authorities wanted help in finding Bizzell, who as last seen Friday morning at Burlington Coat Factory at Gurnee Mills wearing a blue jean jacket and blue jean pants and carrying a black backpack with wheels.
Police said Bizzell, whose hometown was not disclosed, has severe vision problems.
