Rolling Meadows advanced in the Class 4A baseball postseason with a 6-2 victory over host Glenbard East on Tuesday.

The Mustangs were seeded No. 20 in the St. Charles East sectional, while Glenbard East was No. 13.

Rolling Meadows (6-26) advances to a 4:30 p.m. Wednesday regional semifinal against DuPage Valley Conference champion Glenbard North, the No. 4 seed, at Geneva.

South Elgin 7, Barrington 3: The MSL West champs dropped a nonconference, non-playoff contest against the visiting Storm.

Barrington led most of the way before South Elgin produced a 6-run sixth inning.

Casey Dodge finished with 2 hits and Jake Coon drove in 2 runs for the Broncos (24-10), who open their postseason on Thursday against Cary-Grove at Jacobs.
