Schaumburg library highlights Sister Cities' cultures

The Schaumburg Township District Library will host several programs this summer highlighting the four overseas communities - in Germany, Japan, India and Turkey - with whom Schaumburg maintains Sister Cities relationships.

All of the programs will be held at the central library, 130 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

Films from each nation will be shown at 7 p.m. Thursdays in the Audiovisual Theatre on the library's first floor. All ages are welcome to view "The Lunchbox" (India) June 11; "Vitus" (Germany) June 25; "Shall We Dance" (Japan) July 9; and "Watchtower" (Turkey) June 23.

All movies are rated PG with the exception of the unrated "Watchtower." All will be in their native languages with English subtitles.
