Lake Park to dedicate Memorial Garden
Lake Park High School will dedicate its new Memorial Garden in ceremonies sponsored by the LPHS Educational Foundation at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 30, at the entrance to the West Campus auditorium, 500 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., Roselle.
The garden memorializes students, staff, retired Lake Park employees, and friends of Lake Park who have died.
Ceremonies will open with the Pledge of Allegiance led by foundation board student representatives Mari Colucci and Noel FioRito. The student chorus will perform two selections, closing the program with the Alma Mater. Foundation President David Victor will serve as master of ceremonies, and West Campus Principal Janet Constien will speak.
A large commemorative stone with an engraved bronze plaque will be surrounded by a landscaped garden with a walkway featuring engraved bricks. The area also will include several benches, giving individuals or families a setting in which to seek solace and remembrance.
