Schaumburg library hosts blood drive May 14

A blood drive is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 14, in the Rasmussen South Room of the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

The library is again joining forces with LifeSource to help replenish dangerously low blood supplies. Register by contacting Stefanie Lubash at (847) 923-3117 or email slubash@stdl.org.

Walk-ins are also welcome but may have to wait. Donors should bring a photo ID and drink plenty of fluids such as juice or water early in the day to increase blood flow.

Potential donors must weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good physical health, be at least 17 years old and have not given blood in the past eight weeks.
