Celebrate early childhood during Preschool Fun Fair

Create lasting childhood memories at the Schaumburg Park District's Preschool Fun Fair, featuring carnival games, pony rides, face painting and a variety of activities for little ones.

Open to parents or guardians and children 18 months to 6 years of age, the Fun Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., May 15 at the Pat Shephard Center, 421 N. Springinsguth Road. Other activities include a train ride, petting zoo, ice cream walk and a moon-bounce inflatable. Pre-registration is available for $10 per child or $12 the day-of the event.

"To see the expressions on children's faces as they ride by on the train is priceless," said Barb Lindholm, the Park District's early childhood resource coordinator. "It's just an all-around fun, picnic kind of day."

Picnic food and treats, including hot dogs and cotton candy, will be available for purchase.

The Fun Fair will be held rain or shine. In the event of rain, festivities will take place inside the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road.

"It's a nice way to end the school year and get ready for summer," Lindholm said. "It's the big closing event for preschool."
