W.A.C.O. Hosts Read to Succeed Children's Book Drive

Once again the Woodfield Area Children's Organization needs your books. W.A.C.O.'s 1st Annual "Read to Succeed" children's book drive will run from May 4th through May 16th. The charity group encourages everyone to donate new or gently-used books for Pre-K through 8th grade children.

The books will go to hundreds of needy families in the northwest suburbs. They will also be used for a summer reading program co-sponsored by Weber Grill and W.A.C.O.

Multiple studies have shown children who own their own books have a much higher chance for success and continued education, than children who don't own some books. And studies have also shown books in the home have an even greater positive impact on low-income children than children from more affluent families.

W.A.C.O.'s goal is to put some books in the hands of these children. But we need your help to do it. Please drop off new or gently-used children's books at any of the following locations from May 4th thru May 16th:

Schaumburg: Patrick BMW & Mini, Patrick Cadillac, Patrick Hyundai, Patrick Volvo,

Riccardo's - 1170 S. Roselle, Rosati's - 1770 W. Wise Rd and Weber Grill - 1010 N. Meacham;

Hoffman Estates: Amdocs, Inc - 2000 W AT&T Center, (Rm 2C84A);

Streamwood: Fireside Ale House - 50 N. Barrington Rd;

Bloomingdale: Roosters - 122 W. Lake St, Walk-In Closet - 107 S. Third St;

Bensenville: Amdocs, Inc - 1101 Tower Lane, (Amdocs Snack Area);

Chicago: Amdocs, Inc - 8420 W Bryn Mawr (reception area).
