Wauconda High scholarship fundraiser

A fundraiser to benefit the Ray and Judy Porten Memorial Scholarship and celebrate Wauconda High School's 100-year anniversary is set for Saturday, May 2, from noon to 6 p.m. at Sideouts Bar and Grill in Island Lake. All Wauconda High alumni and families, teachers, coaches and administrators are invited to attend for the scholarship fundraiser reunion and decade-verses-decade bowling tournament. The scholarship, which was established in 2013, will be awarded to two university, college, community college or vocational-bound high school seniors based on demonstrated academic achievement, athletic participation, community volunteer efforts and proven leadership qualities in and out of school.
