Bears sign backup tight end Pascoe

Bear has signed with the Bears.

Chicago Bears officials announced Thursday they have signed tight end Bear Pascoe to a one-year contract.

Pascoe has appeared in 82 games with 34 starts over six seasons with the New York Giants (2009-13) and Atlanta Falcons (2014), recording 40 receptions for 336 yards (8.4 ypr) and two touchdowns.

The 6-5, 265-pound Pascoe was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round (184th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft.
