Fest for kids' short films coming to Schaumburg

The Schaumburg Prairie Center for the Arts will host its ninth annual Screen Test event on Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25.

Both shows will be at 7:30 p.m.

Screen Test is the Chicago area's premier festival dedicated to short films made by students in grades five-12. Whether going for all-out belly laughs or trying to find meaning in an often confusing world, there's no denying the artistry in the young directors who have committed their unique and honest vision to create a worthwhile piece of filmmaking.

Tickets for Screen Test are $5 for Friday's show and $10; $5 for seniors and students for Saturday, can be ordered online at www.prairiecenter.org or by calling (847) 895-3600.

The Prairie Center is located at 201 Schaumburg Court Schaumburg.

This event is sponsored by the Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy and the Prairie Center Arts Foundation.
