Prince of Peace offers new option for kindergarten

Prince of Peace Preschool and Kindergarten in Schaumburg offers a three full-day kindergarten option for parents who may feel five full days is too much for their child.

Prince of Peace Preschool and Kindergarten is part of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 930 W. Higgins Road, Schaumburg. The program offers a Christian-based education for preschool-age children through kindergarten.

The kindergarten program runs from 8:45 a.m.-3:15 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and has a maximum capacity of 16 children, with a full-time teacher and an aide. Sue Martin is the lead teacher; she has been with the program for 16 years and has taught kindergarten for the last nine years.

Martin has an outstanding reputation and a special ability to bring out the very best in the children she teaches, using a well-researched and up-to-date curriculum in a Christian setting.

The three full-day model for kindergarten at Prince of Peace offers an option to parents who feel their children are not quite ready for five full days, but want them to have the full-day experience before first grade.
