Use tried-and-true method: Boycott.
The article "The tech sector's arrogant bid for cheap labor" by Byron York in the March 31 edition of the Daily Herald is a real eye-opener. CEOs like Google's Eric Schmidt want to get rid of American workers and bring in foreign replacements at much cheaper wages.
He wants the U.S. government to approve more H-1B visas. He complains that he can't get enough cheap labor and thinks that the government immigration policies are to blame. Well here's some news for Mr. Schmidt. We have more than enough cheap foreign labor and way too many Americans out of work. So, the government should get rid of H-1B visas until every American is working.
It's also time to send Mr. Schmidt and other's like him a message. It's really quite easy. Don't use Google search. There are many other search engines out there that are just as good. Also, get rid of your gmail email account. Hit him where it hurts. Use the tried and true method of boycotting.
If that is too much work for you, don't complain when you lose your job to a foreign worker.
