Keep partisan politics out of local elections
Don't be fooled by the scare tactics used by George Dunham, Tom Dailly, and Mark Madej, incumbent candidates for Schaumburg village trustees.
Under the guise of Friends of Schaumburg, a letter addressed to "Dear Democrats" was sent out claiming them to be independent minded and attempting to court Democrat votes.
This letter knocked Jim Moynihan who was unsuccessful while running against Michelle Mussman for state representative and is now running for Schaumburg village trustee. The quote on the letter is, "If he is elected (as a village trustee), he will then be able to challenge Michelle Mussman again in two years, and in the interim, using the village board position to gain additional exposure for his Republican party agenda."
When, in fact, George Dunham is a Republican and serves not only as a Schaumburg village trustee, but sits on the executive board of the Schaumburg Township Republican Organization. Mark Madej is also a Republican.
Why are the political parties getting involved in consolidated elections that are non-partisan? Flyers have been sent by the Schaumburg Republican Party and Friends of Schaumburg endorsing candidates.
Voters need and want credibility in our elected officials. Jim Moynihan deserves your vote.
