Could we set a record today with 70-degree temps?

Could we set a record today if we hit 75 degrees? Do you really care? I mean, it's 70 degrees in March in Chicago. That should be enough to smile about.

But we do love our records. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we'll set one today. The record high was 81 in 2012.

We won't get that warm, but it will be beautiful out - for now.

Temperatures should cross above 70 this afternoon before a cold front moves through, bringing a dramatic drop in temps.

Highs Tuesday will be in the 40s. The lows Tuesday night will be in the 20s.

And while that's going to hurt, remember that just two weeks ago, we were set to tie the record for the lowest high temperature of 17 degrees on March 5.
