Sure, let workers negotiate on their own
Wisconsin governor and possible presidential candidate Scott Walker wants right-to-work legislation to be enacted in his state. This legislation would allow workers to not only avoid joining a union and paying union dues, it would allow them to benefit from their workplace union's negotiations without paying their share of the negotiating expenses.
I agree. Let those who don't want to be bothered by a union go on their own. Let them face their employers and negotiate for salary, benefits, and working conditions. If they find themselves working for less, they will at least be able to revel in their newfound freedom.
The money the employer saves on the non-union workers could be used to improve conditions for the union workers.
