4th of July help sought

The Vernon Hills July 4 Parade Committee is seeking members to assist with the coordination, set up and launching of the annual parade. The committee meets for about an hour three or four times a year. Members should be at least 18 years old and a resident of Vernon Hills. Volunteers are also needed to help the day of the event with the set up and launching the parade. Set up starts at 7:30 a.m. and the parade ends about 11 a.m. Volunteers would assist participants and answer questions. High school students can also receive community service hours for volunteering.
