Past President of the Greeting Card Association in Washington DC.Questions Answers What makes you the best candidate for the job?My extensive business management, corporate board, association board and club board experience along with my hands on onvolvement in the community uniquely positions me as the best candidate for the job.What is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales and property taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.The sales tax in Illinois is too high and there is very little change that can be made in the local sales tax. I believe the property tax is too high.Rate the efficiency of your town's police and fire coverage. Are the departments well prepared for the next decade? What, if anything, should be changed? Do you have specific public safety concerns?The Police and Fire departments are in pretty good shape in Lake in the Hills.Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?The budget needs to be reviewed as the current board just passed a Deficit Budget.
