Volunteers feeds the world from Schaumburg stadium

Though Boomers Stadium in Schaumburg isn't hosting baseball at the moment, it served as the headquarters of an even more important undertaking.

During the offseason, the Schaumburg Boomers has partnered with Feed My Starving Children, bringing in local volunteers to pack 50,000 meals for people struggling with food shortages in Third World countries around the globe.

These volunteers took over the Schaumburg Club overlooking the snow-packed baseball field as they engaged in their important, lifesaving work Thursday night.
