New York Giants re-sign receiver Kevin Ogletree
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - The New York Giants have re-signed wide receiver Kevin Ogletree.
The Giants announced the move on Tuesday, roughly three weeks before Ogletree could have become an unrestricted free agent.
Ogletree joined the Giants on Oct. 14, two days after Victor Cruz suffered a season-ending knee injury. He caught five passes in seven games.
The Detroit Lions had released Ogletree on Sept. 20. The New York City native has played in 69 regular-season games with Dallas, Tampa Bay, Detroit and the Giants. He has 83 receptions for 1,049 yards (12.6 yard average) and six touchdowns.
