Prospect High Orchesis to present its annual show

Prospect High School's 2015 Orchesis show, "EUPHORIA," will present a variety of dance styles, from ballet, pointe and contemporary, to jazz, hip-hop and Bollywood.

Performances will take place Thursday, Feb. 19, through Saturday, Feb. 21, in the school's theater at 7 p.m.

There will also be an additional matinee benefit performance at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21. Proceeds from the show will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Featured guest choreographers are dance professionals Brandon DiCriscio, Annie Franklin, Sarah Ford, Josh Manculich, Gil Mata, Tess Renaud and Sean Rozanski, who have worked with the students on seven different pieces.

Many of the works danced by the 28-member Orchesis group are student-choreographed.

"We're looking forward to putting on an entertaining, energetic and diverse show that will highlight the hard work, talent and dedication of each Orchesis member," said Prospect Orchesis Director Kristin Burton.

Admission is $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Tickets may be purchased in advance in the Student Activities Office during school lunch hours starting Tuesday, Feb. 17, or at the door, provided the show isn't sold out.

Flowers will also be available for purchase at all performances.
