Flyers goalie Steve Mason leaves game against Capitals
WASHINGTON (AP) - Philadelphia Flyers goalie Steve Mason has left the game against the Washington Capitals on Sunday midway through the second period because of an undisclosed injury.
With play stopped due to a penalty call, Mason went to the bench and had to be assisted by trainers to the locker room.
He was replaced by Ray Emery.
The Flyers led 1-0 when Mason left, but Washington soon tied it on a power-play goal by Alex Ovechkin.
